Detailed description of Indian Spring Golf Club

Indian Spring Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Marlton, New Jersey.

Indian Spring Golf Club was established in 1952. The course was designed by John Gurley, Sr.

This course was built on 141 acres of farmland, so it only has a few trees that can alter your shots. Water hazards (creeks and ponds) come into play on a few holes. The greens are semi-undulating and average-sized. Indian Spring Country Club also has a practice facility with 40 lighted range mats and an excellent short game practice area.

Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,328 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,043 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 548 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 144 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 519 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 13, a 144 yard par-3. The Indian Spring Golf Clubsignature hole is #4, a 152-yard, par 3.

Indian Springs was in pretty good shape for late winter. The layout is rather short, wide, straight and flat. Good for the beginner; intermediates can make it challenging too. Good resident and twilight rate.

Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

THis is bad, the coures conditions were very very poor and the comment was made that they need to increase membership to have the money to make improvements. Afetr what I saw I would never pay for a membership here. Overgrown, water satuated course but has potential to be a fairly good course afetr a lot of work. Has some interesting holes and about 8 less than average holes, all need major work.

Club house was built about 8-10 years ago and has nice facilities (food, drink and banquet), course was remoldeled then from a cow pasture state (worse than you imagine) but has gotten bad again (not cow pasture bad) just very poor for play.

If they were to spend money to improve the conditions of the course it might be worth looking at for a membership, We would never go back unless this was done first.

We did visit after a amjor rain storm but I took that into account and gave allowances for downed trees (a few) and the like, still pi...s poor.

Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Better courses for less nearby

I play this course frequently because it is very convenient and priced reasonably. Weekends with nice weather, the course is packed and slow. Long hitters have a chance at going low. Over the last 5 years they have changed management. The staff is now pleasant and enjoyable. They have been upgrading the course especially the greens. They stimp is about 9 so they have decent speed. The traps are getting more attention and tougher with high berms and decorative grass.
